Nut Filled Crescent Cookies Recipe

Dough:

  • 3 egg yolks
  • 16oz sour cream
  • 1 1/2 lbs butter (unsalted)
  • 7 cups flour

Filling:

  • 3 cups crushed walnuts
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • **** 1 egg white to brush the dough 

Mix all the dough ingredients together. Shape into 9 - 10 balls. Chill in refrigerator for 6 hours.

Mix the filling ingredients (walnuts & sugar) together.

Roll the dough into pie size. Brush center with egg white. Cut into 8 pieces. Fill with nuts. Roll into crescents. Bake at 350F until golden brown. About 15 minutes, depending on the oven.
