Orange Bread Recipe

Rind (peel) of 3 oranges-cut into small pieces, boil in salted water until tender-about 15 minutes, drain well, add 1 cup sugar, 1/2 cup cold water, boil for 3 minutes. Cool.Sift 3 cups flour, 1/2 tsp salt, 5 level tsps baking powder. Beat 1 egg and 1 cup milk together in a bowl. Add half of the flour mixture to orange mixture and mix, add balance of flour mixture and mix well. Bake in a loaf pan at 350F for approximently 1 hour.

Note: Instead of rind (peel) you can use French's Orange Peel, use judgement to make up the equivalent of 3 rinds.
