Toll House Cookie Recipe

• 2 1/4 cups flour
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 1 tsp salt
• 1 cup butter or margarine (softened)
• 3/4 cups white sugar
• 3/4 cups firmly packed brown sugar
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 2 eggs
• 1 pkg (12 oz) semi-sweet chocolate pieces
• 1 cup chopped walnuts

Preheat oven to 375F. Sift together flour, baking soda & salt. In a large bowl cream together butter or margarine and sugars, add vanilla & eggs, beat well. Gradually add sifted ingredients, mixing well. Fold in chocolate pieces and nuts. Drop by teaspoonful onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until done.
